Tom Burdge is the host of the Buddhist philosophy podcast, and founder of Buddhistphilosophy.co.uk

Tom studies philosophy at the University of St Andrews.

At the same institution, he is a Laidlaw scholar, where he has researched philosophy of time, Buddhist philosophy, and philosophy of language. His research output includes a paper entitled Meaning in Gibberish (forthcoming in Aporia), and he has presented the paper and discussed related issues in talks and workshops at the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh.

Tom has studied some Pali (OCBS levels 1 and 2), and has a reading fluency with French.

Tom has identified as agnostic, atheist, non-religious, Buddhist, and a non-Buddhist during some periods of his life. Nowadays he is more private with his religious affiliations, although he will admit he hasn’t made his mind up about many things. Tom also co-runs a Stuart Hall reading group, which is open to everyone.
